How to ensure your bespoke home automation project is done by a specialist home automation technician:
1. Verifying certifications and qualifications: Ensuring they are CEDIA certified and what systems they specialise in as well as asking how long they have been installing those systems for. It's also important to ensure they specialise in all systems otherwise they aren't specialists.
2. Verifying skillset: Ensuring they can programme these systems as electricians and builders only focus on the electrical safety and structural work.
3. Request for portfolio to ensure they can actually deliver what they say they do.
